Depending on the form, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, competition entry, uploaded photograph. We may request your county, address or evidence of eligibility where necessary to verify a winner or deliver a prize.

Please provide only the information requested and avoid including sensitive information about yourself or others.

How and why we use it

administer competitions, nominations and voting;
check eligibility and identify duplicate or fraudulent submissions;
select and contact winners, deliver prizes and announce results;
assess nominations and votes and administer the awards;

We rely on our legitimate interests in running fair competitions and awards, preventing misuse and dealing with enquiries. We will assess those interests against your rights and use only information reasonably needed for these purposes.

Marketing

If a competition offers marketing from a prize provider, that organisation will be named alongside. We will share only the information described in that box.

You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in marketing emails or by contacting the relevant organisation. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out lawfully before withdrawal.

Who receives your information

Our authorised website, hosting, form and email service providers may process information on our behalf to operate these services.

We may share a winner’s necessary contact details with the named prize provider to arrange their prize.
Awards judges may receive relevant nomination or supporting information. Voters’ contact details will not be supplied to nominees or sponsors for marketing without separate consent.

We may disclose information where required by law or to investigate misuse.

Photographs and winner information

Competition photographs may be displayed and used to report on the competition as explained in its terms. Wider promotional use requires separate permission.

We may publish or make available a winner’s name and where appropriate, their winning entry. Contact us if you object to this or want reduced disclosure. Information may still need to be provided to the Advertising Standards Authority.

We keep information only for as long as needed for its stated purpose. If you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal suppression record so we can respect your request.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information. Data portability may apply where its legal conditions are met.
