Emily

I’m Emily. I’m a Wife & Mum of 2, Since having my boys, Teddy & Rocco, my time mainly consists of anything outdoors; lots of walks, parks & bike riding practice & the conversations in our house usually contain some form of toilet humour or are superhero, food or slime related.

I worked in childcare for 12 years, before leaving the industry in 2020, when Teddy was 18 months & taking a part time job within the NHS, allowing me to spend more time at home. Subsequently that is where Beth & I met & soon realised we had a very similar sense of humour & laid back personality.

After a short 6 months working together, we have stuck together ever since, with our youngest boys being born just 14 weeks apart, we have attempted to keep each other sane whilst navigating our way through the chaos of parenting our collective brood of 4 crazy boys all under school age.

Beth

Hi I’m Beth! I’m wife to Alex, Mum to Elijah & Ezra and the owner of Lots for Tots.

After a tricky pregnancy and birth with Ezra, I was searching for a platform that I could use to help Mums/Dads/grandparents and anyone raising children. Something that could showcase everything that is available to us all as we journey together through parenthood. Then I found Lots for Tots was for sale! (Perfect!)

The magazine gives you all a brilliant showcase of what’s on in the various areas and the shops, clubs and classes to go to with your little ones but through conversations with readers, businesses and charities the idea of starting a podcast came to me and it made sense. We were missing one thing, a real life account of the highs and the lows of pregnancy, birth and raising the next generation. The idea isn’t Let’s Talk Tots or Lots for Tots: The idea is you have both! Making the perfect guide/companion/manual (call it what you wish).

Through this Podcast Emily & I promise to be open and honest as we laugh over our mum fails, delve into our pregnancy and birth experiences and chat to some brilliant charities and businesses ready to support you to thrive whilst parenting the under 5s (and older).

Lots for tots has supported the advertising of Tiddlekicks for almost 9 years now!
Tiddlekicks only advertise with Lots for Tots, whose audience covers families across the whole of Derbyshire. Making them perfect place for local businesses offering activities for children to promote their services.

Tiddlekicks

Lots for Tots is a great publication ideal for all activities & services for babies toddlers & pre- schoolers.
In 2022 under new ownership Lots for Tots is been given new ideas & enthusiasm.
Boogie Woogie Babes are grateful the publication is continuing & look forward to seeing the publication flourish!

Boogie Woogie Babes

Lots for tots has helped me bring new children to my classes with little effort from myself.
The magazine is very well known and has a great reputation. I often hear parents talking about how they find their classes/events through it. It is an easy way to advertise and I would highly recommend it.

Rachel - Dancing Digits

Working with Beth has been an absolute pleasure. She is friendly, professional and efficient. Her fresh take and passion for the magazine is clear I am so excited to see the direction in which it will go. Beth is always happy to help and listen to ideas and views. She is a real advocate for activities and businesses for young families. I can't see me looking to advertise elsewhere! Thank you Beth.

Nikki at Moo Music

Lots for Tots have been a supportive organisation of Bridge the Gap, advertising our upcoming sessions free of charge as we are a community interest company. This allows for families to access low cost emotional education, vital for children’s mental health long term. Beth is always so organised, professional and a credit to the magazine, which is incredibly helpful for families locally. We find the magazine is often picked up by parents in our reception area and so there is a definite need for Lots for Tots in Derby.
