Cube launches Treats and Tots Programme

Cube café/bar in Derby’s Cathedral Quarter is launching a weekly pamper programme for mums of young children and pregnant women.

Treats and Tots sessions will be held every Tuesday morning from 11am onwards at Cube which is part of Déda (formerly known as Derby Dance) in Chapel Street.

Customers can sit back and enjoy the new summer lunch menu as well as free manicures and massages courtesy of students from East Midlands School of Beauty while their children play in the café’s child-friendly area..

Déda Catering Manager Catherine Ward explained: “We are extremely popular with young families who appreciate the child-friendly space available and the easy access for prams and buggies.

“The Treats and Tots programme is therefore to thank existing customers for their loyalty to us and also to encourage other mums and mums to be to join in the fun, meet new people and enjoy a spot of well deserved pampering.”

For more information, contact Cube on 01332 370911 or visit the website www.deda.uk.com/cube

Bluebells prepare for a Busy Summer

Bluebells at Brunswood Farm in Spondon, Derbyshire, are preparing for a busy Summer period.  Bluebells have a variety of activities planned for children, adults and their regular café customers throughout the Summer season.  The star attraction will be a Maize Megamaze that the Brown family have been planting and preparing over the past months to entertain families visiting the farm.

The Maize Megamaze has been developed with a circus theme and incorporates the Bluebells logo within the design.  Children and adults have been invited to work their way through the Maize Megamaze and try to find the crafty clowns who were mistakenly (or perhaps not!) left behind by the circus.  The Brown family have asked for help to rescue the farm from the clowns and send them back to the circus!  Quiz sheets are given to every person entering the Maize Megamaze.

Bluebells have created this green tourist attraction to extend their café and farm shop area; ensuring that the café area is large enough to comfortably accommodate regular customers and families during the busy Summer holiday period.  The Maize Megamaze has been grown on a 5 acre field and the maize will be harvested for use as cattle fodder when the Summer season ends leaving no trace of the Summer activity.
